Whoever is George Ade, I would say that he’s totally right. Since I got here, I’ve been running around looking for more and more things to do & see. It’s already an incredible experience and I’ve been enjoying every minute of it ….
Now that I am back in Grenoble taking master level classes at the ESC, I thought free time would be missing in my agenda (Actually I didn’t buy any agenda so I have plenty of free time; ha-ha) – I was wrong. Yes, my classes are pretty hard and we all invest a lot of energy into the work we have, but my course schedule rules as I usually don’t have school on Thursdays and Fridays. That being said, it’s now obvious that my SwissCheese-like-Schedule is an incredible facilitator for doing fun things on the week-ends, whatever they are.
So … Last Thursday, I and a few of my friends here in the city decided to go and enjoy the ocean while we still had time to do so. We left with two cars, bathing suits, money and a couple of beers for a road trip to NICE (yes; another one). But this time, I wasn’t there as a tourist - the goal was to relax and enjoy whatever we would be doing. These ``whatever activities`` ended up involving swimming, volley-balling, tanning, eating and drinking. We slept two nights at the Saint-Exupery Villa in NICE before leaving for Cannes on the last day of the trip; it felt good to be on a real sand beach for the last hours of the journey. It was extremely tough to leave this place, especially with the thoughts of going back to class on Monday. Anyways … Last three days at school passed by really fast!
I also had some visit yesterday. Fanie came by from Canada to drop of my new bike and to enjoy France for a little bit. We had a great time eating in a cool restaurant and it was awesome to talk Québecois with somebody! She left today for the beach – I can understand it’s quite better then to stay with a boring guy like me.
Anyws … I’ll be busy riding my new toy in the next couple of weeks\months! I am quite excited about it.
Love you all !
Gabriel
